After a stormy rain, the street rain drain prevented a few of the storm's casualties from being swept away. The wet, fall colors of the leaf debris on top of the grate contrast nicely with dark depths below. Early fall color saved by the worn, pitted cast-iron grate add texture the wonderful diagonals of the composition and a man made contrast to Indiana's nature.
