Description
Pokagon State Park in Indiana trip this spring was almost a rain out. A slight break in the falling moisture allowed a quick step outside for a chance at water dropped dogwood bloom photography. Dogwood blossoms were just another photo, nothing to show here but my little sentinel scampered up to keep a careful eye on me and to take a breather from the spring showers as well.

I can’t believe that is a pencil drawing…you are so exquisite in detailing…this is masterful! I used to hand feed chipmunks as a child…well into my teen years at my aunt Jill’s and I am intimately familiar with every little hair on their gorgeous coats…you have their pelting down to perfection! WOW!…fav…v..BEST to you
Pamela Clements replied:
Thank you Laurel. This little guy was playing tag in the rain and just so cute.

Oh my!, Pamela...I thought this was a photograph! Such an amazing rendering...the mastery of your medium is EVIDENT! Chipmunks are one of my favorite wildlife creatures as I fed them birdseed from my hand for years as a child. One of my fondest memories...and I am aware of every detail of chipmunks...you captured this one’s soul! Breathtaking! L/F L/F

Thank you Laurel, I love your comments. This piece was actually donated to a wildlife rehab facility for a silent auction fundraiser where a former student of mine works.
